About me and Luna’s Dragons
Hello my name is Gabreil Chilson, I am a digital artist using mediums like procreate and krita. I love characters and like to draw animals and creatures.
Wiccan Roots
I do want to say a bit about my wiccan religion and witchcraft as many of my artwork is inspired by it. So to better help you understand some of my pieces Wicca is the religion of witchcraft. We believe in a type of intuition magick and universe magic, that being said you can also be a witch and not have the Wicca spiritual part at all. Biggest thing you can take from this is “if it harms no one, do what you will”. Many of my pieces are inspired from different aspects of witchcraft. A few concepts I know will come up are Familiars, Dragons and the Draconic path.
Brief explanations: Familiars are spiritual beings that show up as animals in the physical world. They make blood pacts with witches and assist them on there journey. Now we all know what a dragon is, however in they are not a fictional beast that we know them to be. They are gentle and knowledgeable creatures that are willing to help witches but are weary as the human kind once tried to kill them off. They have a very intricate system on a different realm of existence which is why we can not see them in the physical world. The third big part is the draconic path. The draconic path is when a witch is presented with the opportunity to learn under the dragons and agrees to be a student of the Dragons. They will be assigned a younger dragon who is their guardian dragon, their protector. They will have an older guide dragon who will advise them on their path. And at any point can ask for help from any dragon.
I consider myself a draconic wiccan, which means I practice both wicca and the draconic path together. Other pieces may include other aspects of either path at which point I will add a page to help clarity about the piece. If you don’t believe in this part of the artwork that is perfectly fine! See the art as you see it, that’s the point! I just hoped that a bit of insight on where the art is coming from would help you understand the piece better, and of course not every piece is witchcraft based.
